Nawaz Sharif undergoes medical test for sixth time

LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif underwent more medical tests at Sharif Medical City (SMC) for the sixth time on Monday, ARY News reported.

Medical examination was carried out by personal physician and other medical experts.

Talking to newsmen after the examination of Sharif, Dr Adnan termed heart problem, a serious threat to former prime minister’s life.

He will have to undergo for another bypass surgery, if angioplasty was not done, he continued.

Dr Adnan further apprised media that angina pain can cause heart attack to the patient at any time, decision regarding admitting Nawaz Sharif in the hospital will be taken later after examining the reports.

To a query, Sharif’s personal physician contented that decision to get Nawaz Sharif treated from abroad not taken yet.

Nawaz Sharif had undergone many medical tests including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan and electrocardiogram (ECG) after his release 20 days ago.

On April 12, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had undergone medical tests again for the fifth time at Sharif Medical City to evaluate his health condition.

The medical tests were conducted by a team of neurosurgeons and Nawaz’s personal physician Dr Adnan in order to normalise his blood circulation.
