KARACHI: Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on Tuesday inaugurated a patrol ship built for Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) with support from China.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the navy chief said that the ship is a symbol of long-term friendship between Pakistan and China and has been built at Karachi Shipyard with the cooperation of China.
While congratulating the Karachi Shipyard for achieving this landmark, he said the shipyard has made much progress in a short span of time and has become a profitable organization, besides making headway towards self dependence in defence realm.
Admiral Abbasi said that enhancement in the security agency’s capabilities in line with latest trends was inevitable as Pakistan will become an economic hub of the region under CPEC.
