Nation will decide who is sadiq and ameen: Talal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Wednesday said the public will decide who is sadiq and ameen (honest and trustworthy) and any declarations in the courts will not make any difference.

Speaking to reporters outside an accountability court, the state minister said the bail application of those who opposed Nawaz Sharif will be revoked in the ongoing year.

“In 2018 election, Nawaz Sharif will revoke their bail. They can bring any eligibility certificates but these will have no effect. Who is eligible and ineligible will be decided by the public.”

“With these kind of sadiq and ameen, we are grateful Nawaz Sharif is not among them.”

The state minister was referring to chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan who on Tuesday received bail in four cases relating to damage to public property during the 2014 sit-in.

“First they were waiting for the umpire’s fingers and now they are looking to astrologer’s predictions,” he said.

Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said Imran Khan was a failed politician, and should be held answerable for the attack on parliament.

“Imran Khan should be answerable for attack on parliament and PTV. He is a failed politician.”

She said that former prime minister was Nawaz Sharif was appearing in the courts, while the people of Pakistan have not selected Imran Khan as the premier.

She also said that those who were claiming that a NRO-style deal is being made in Saudi Arabia are not silent. “Imran Khan, when your raise a finger at someone, more fingers are pointed back at you.”

She further said that Imran Khan cannot escape from accountability, and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held responsible.
