NAB unearths more offshore properties of Aleem Khan

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday unearth more offshore properties of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) detained leader Abdul Aleem Khan, ARY News reported.

As per details, the NAB in its ongoing investigation against Punjab’s former senior minister Aleem Khan traced more than 12 of his properties in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the NAB report, Khan generated as many as 28 million dirham through trading of the traced properties in 2006 to 2017, but never disclosed the same in his assets’ details.

The accountability watchdog has also found one of Aleem Khan’s undisclosed property in Lahore, which was benefited from the amnesty scheme.

The NAB has claimed, Aleem Khan got benefit of rupees 14 million from the aforesaid property of Lahore.

However, the anti-graft watchdog body did n’t provide details of any of dates in its report in this regard.

Earlier in the day, an accountability court had extended remand of PTI leader Abdul Aleem Khan until March 5.

The provincial lawmaker had been taken into custody when he appeared before the NAB for the hearing of two cases against him pertaining to offshore companies and assets beyond his sources of income.

His answers had failed to satisfy NAB officials during the inquiry, leading to his arrest.
