LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday approved investigation against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan in a case pertaining to beyond known sources of income, ARY News reported.
Director general NAB, Lahore, issued these directives while chairing a meeting today. The meeting also approved filing a reference against 26 persons involved in the case.
The NAB officials will hold an inquiry against officials of Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation as NAB has received complaints against officials over illegal sale of land.

The accountability watchdog will also move against officials of Revenue Department, Bhakkar on charges of transferring government land on their name. The final approval for inquiry against aforementioned officials will be taken from the executive board of NAB.
PTI leader had tendered his resignation as senior minister Punjab after being arrested by the anti-graft watchdog on Feb 6.
The provincial lawmaker had been taken into custody when he appeared before the NAB for the hearing of two cases against him pertaining to offshore companies and assets beyond his sources of income.
His answers had failed to satisfy NAB officials during the inquiry, leading to his arrest.
Khan remained Punjab minister in 2003 to 2007 and set up 35 companies, while several of his bank accounts also surfaced.
