NA passes resolution for supremacy of Constitution, Parliament

Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party’s Mehmood Khan Achakzai tabled the resolution in the lower house of the parliament.

Speaking on the resolution Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said that a few thousand people insulting the parliament.

He said the political parties have decided to side with the constitution, democracy and the parliament.

He termed the demand for resignation of the prime minister unconstitutional.

Sherpao said that the PTI has disappointed the people adding that the traders have turned down the call of civil disobedience.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached the Parliament House.

Sharif is expected to take the National Assembly into confidence in his address about his government’s future plan regarding demands put forward by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leaders.

Thousands of the followers of PTI and PAT have staged sit-ins outside the parliament house demanding resignation of the Prime Minister.
