The NA session was held under the chair of the speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf today. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif presented the resolution against the May 9 riots. It stated that shameful incidents took place on May 9 and action should be taken against the culprits under Army Act, ATA and Criminal Code.

The defence minister slammed Khan for blaming intelligence agencies for May 9 incidents. He said that those who spread violence on May 9 included Imran Khan’s two sisters, nephew, Mahmoodur Rasheed, Yasmin Rashid, Shehryar Afridi, Usman Dar and several PTI leaders.

He apprised the NA that PTI expressed reservations on the judicial commission on audio leaks which is being led by Justice Qazi Faez Isa. He said that Justice Qazi Faez Isa is a reputed SC judge and the judicial commission was formed to transparently ascertain the facts behind audio leaks.
