Musharraf says all cases against him are politically motivated

Addressing a party convention through telephone, Musharraf said the development works carried out during his tenure were being ruined.  “People are in disarray, there no development in the country,” he regretted.

The former president said he offered condolences to the heirs of those died in the Model Town incident. “At least 22 people were killed, I believe that’s a sheer suppression.”

He stated: “Pakistan is my country and I will not leave it in view of the forged against me. I will face all cases with equal force. However, my mother is out of country [for medical treatment] and I also need to visit her.”

Whatever I did, he said, was in favour if the country and I stand proud on it. He said government had badly failed to resolve issues facing the people, hence the incumbent rulers should resign.
