SUKKUR: Echoing public sentiments for holding international cricket matches in the provincial cities, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he would approach Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to ensure revival of international cricket in the province.
Talking to media persons in Sukkur, Shah said that security situation in the province has improved and suitable for such events.
“The Sindh government will approach PCB to ensure hosting of international cricket events in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur,” he added.
The CM said he had approached the board at time of Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore as well.

“The security situation has much improved in the provincial capital,” he added.
Over apparent discord between Inspector General Police (IGP) AD Khawaja and Sindh government, Shah remarked that Sindh High Court (SHC)’s ruling is being implemented despite reservations.
“The court’s orders are being implemented, [however] we have our reservations on it,” he further said.
Calling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan a good cricketer, he said the cricketer-turned-politician still to learn a lot to become a mature politician.
“Imran thinks the entire nation stands by him after winning few seats in Sindh,” Shah concluded.
