MQM’s Tahir Mashhadi on top in Senate performance assessment

According to the assessment, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Colonel (retd.) Tahir Hussein Mashhadi achieved the highest attendance with 95 percent whereas Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Sassui Palijo was top amongst the females with 51 percent.

Mohammad Usman Kakar of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party came in second with 76 percent whereas PPP’s Saeed Ghani and Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid’s (PML-Q) Mushahid Hussain Sayed came in third with 73 percent attendance score each.

Mohammad Talha Mehmood was ranked at fourth position with 68 percentage while Jehanzeb Jamaldini and Nauman Wazir Khattak were at fifth place with attendance of 66 percentage.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Siraj-ul-Haq came at seventh place after attending 63 percent of the parliamentary sessions. Leader of

the Parliament’s upper house Raja Mohammad Mohammad Zafar-ul-Haq was ranked at eighth place with an attendance of 62 percentage while Opposition Leader Aitezaz Ahsan came in tenth position with 57 percent.

Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed came at 36th place with 27 percent attendance whereas Human Rights minister Kamran Michael, with an attendance score of 24 percent, was ranked at 37th place.

Ex-interior minister Rehman Malik and Sherry Rehman were placed at 28th and 29th position after attending 36 percent and 25 percent of the total sessions respectively.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had the most number of lawmakers in the top 15 positions whereas People’s Party had the highest number of senators in the top 15 attendees, according to PILDAT.
