KARACHI: The sit-in of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) at Numaish intersection against arrest of their party chief in London entered third day, ARY News reported.
The MQM had appealed the traders and transporters late Wednesday night to resume their routine operations and activities across the city, however the party announced to continue sit-ins in the city as well as across the province.
Different politicians, civil society leaders, social workers, traders, minority leaders, lawyers and different leaders made it to the protest camp of MQM at Numaish and expressed solidarity with the party.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain had telephoned the party’s London secretariat and appealed people and supporters to remain peaceful and not to violate law.
MQM leaders said they would continue their sit-in until health security and dispensation of justice was assured to their leader in London.
