KARACHI: Police took into custody 18 suspects, including two Muttahida Qaumi Movement – London (MQM-L) men, during search operation in Karachi’s Quaidabad neighbourhood on Sunday morning, ARY News reported.
According to the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Malir, Kalashnikov, pistols, and drugs were seized from the possession of the arrested suspects.
He said as many as 656 people were checked during the door-to-door search operation in Quaidabad and Sharafi Goth.
It is pertinent to mention here that the police had earlier on March 27 arrested a target killer associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) group in Karachi.
The shooter, identified as Yaseen alias ‘Chota Don’ was wanted in several heinous crimes including murders and extortion cases to the police.
According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Yaseen was companion of Azam Bengali. Two pistols and a snatched motorcycle was recovered from the possession of the arrested target killer.
