The MQM has been staging a ‘hunger strike unto death’ since Wednesday (August 17) outside the Karachi Press Club against ‘injustices against the party, extrajudicial killings and arrests of its workers’.
On Saturday, Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the protesters.
The Pakistan People’s Party leader also offered to help resolve the issues between the MQM and the government. He assured to convey MQM issues to the chief minister.
Meanwhile, a PML-N delegation led by its provincial president Ismail Rahoo also visited the camp.
