KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal on Tuesday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement founder is a miscreant who should be hanged to death just like convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
Addressing media, the Home Minister said that the Sindh government would hang Altaf Hussain if allowed by the federal government. “MQM’s founder is a traitor who should be punished to death,” he said.
He claimed that Sindh government has written to the federal government to extradite the MQM founder after the murder of two Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) activists.
Siyal said that leftover miscreants are being crushed under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad launched by the army and law-enforcement agencies.
“The role of the armed forces and paramilitary Rangers is commendable, ” he said adding the-the Pakistan People’s Party government has fulfilled its promise to restore peace in Karachi.
He also criticised former Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza, as well as former president Pervez Musharraf who has accused Asif Ali Zardari of the murders of Benazir and Murtaza Bhutto. He questioned why Musharraf did not earlier present evidence against Zardari when he was in prison.
Over the suspension of cellular networks on 9-10th Muharram, he said that an application has been submitted to the Ministry of Interior adding that mobile networks will be suspended in sensitive districts.
