FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Saturday said that any malicious plot aiming to apply ‘minus-Nawaz’ formula would not be acceptable.
He was talking to newsmen when he said that people who are indulged in hatching a plot to sideline Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from mainstream politics will not succeed in their plans.
“Minus-Nawaz formula was neither acceptable before nor it will be in future”, Ali underscored.
Coming down hard on opponents, Ali urged formation of Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) to probe Mehran Bank Scandal, Ayan Ali money laundering case, NLC Scandal, and Uzair Baluch’s terrorism cases.
He accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for leaking the photo of Hussain Nawaz before grilling session with the JIT on May 28. “The PTI chief Imran Khan had hatched a conspiracy by design to put pressure on state institutions, [however] he could not force Nawaz Sharif for resignation [by succeeding in his conspiracy].
The state minister also opined that Imran Khan and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari were two sides of the same coin.
