LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Schools Education Murad Raas has said that dream of a new and prosperous Pakistan cannot be materialized without provision of free quality education to each and every child.
Murad Raas said the provincial education department is working to introduce composite reforms so that the public schools could be revamped and the students could get quality education which enables them to find out solutions of different problems.
While presiding over a meeting at PCTB, he said that SED is working hard so that government schools could excel in education and becomes the first priority of the parents.
The meeting reviewed the preparation of comprehensive education sector reforms program and different proposals were discussed by the participants to ensure qualitative changes in the schooling of the students.

Murad Raas stressed that the role of Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development(QAED) should be made more vigorous so that this institution is responsible for the training of teachers of government schools and it should therefore, emerge as a premiere think tank of the province.
The meeting pondered over different issues including access of out of school children to schools, elimination of rot method of learning, provision of quality education, teachers training on modern lines and monitoring of teachers in schools.
The participants agreed that corporate sector should be encouraged to lend a helping hand in betterment of public sector schools through their corporate social responsibility principles.
