PML-N’s Sanaullah freed from murder charges for lack of evidence

Assassin Naveed alias Commando was given death sentence for killing Asghar Ali aka Bhola Gujjar and his driver on January 8.

The confessional statement of Naveed was submitted in the Anti-Terrorism Court by SSP operations Irfanullah. The statements of other nominated accused including Sanaullah were also recorded in the case.

Naveed had recorded his statement to police, claiming that Rana Sanaullah told him Gujjar had gained much clout and could challenge his position by joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

He said he approached Gujjar and spotted his vehicle near Seeta Ram temple and opened fire on him, thus resulting his death. ‘Commando’ said he carried out the killing as the minister had assured him of protection.

He claimed Sanaullah had given him an iPhone set and through Viber “I informed the minister about killing of Gujjar and he applauded me.”
