KARACHI: Fearing a possible reaction of the military offensive in North Waziristan, Pakistan Army troops have been deployed at sensitive places in all the major cities of the country – ARY News reports.
With the start of a military operation in North Waziristan, security has been put on high-alert all over the country. Authorities beefed up security at sensitive installments and public buildings, while military troops have also been deployed for this purpose.
Pak-Army troops are deployed at sensitive places in several cities including Karachi, Lahore and Multan.
Military personnel will take control of sensitive places in Peshawar, while security of Quetta city has also been handed over to Pakistan Army.
Earlier on Saturday, the security of the federal capital was also given to the military, upon the request of district administration of Islamabad.
Senior analysts are of the view that reacting to the military operation, Taliban can possibly attack sensitive installations in the country.
