KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sherjeel Memon has suggested Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to take account of the facts before issuing any statement, ARY News reported.
Talking to media in front of his office on Thursday, Sherjeel Memon said Chuadhry Nisar didn’t consider the facts before declaring Sindh government responsible for the Karachi Airport incident.
“Chaudhry Nisar should take measures for the restriction of smuggling of illegal weapons to Sindh from other provinces especially from Punjab and instead of portraying that Taliban respects constitution of Pakistan design effective policies for the elimination of terrorism”, he added.
Sindh Information Minister said the responsibility of airport’s security lies on federal government, despite the fact, Sindh Police’s personnel including I.G. Sindh Police
and high profile officers of Rangers reached the crime scene within minutes of the attack to counter militants. He gave 90 per cent credit of successful operation against terrorists to Police, who remained front line in the operation.Sherjeel Memon said Chuadhry Nisar was sleeping at the time of attack and recorded his statements to print and electronic media next day adding that “Chaudhry Nisar came to Karachi following the instruction of PM Nawaz Sharif but only to have a photo session, nothing else”.
