Member of ‘Maryam Nawaz’s media cell’ arrested for posting incendiary stuff on social media

RAWALPINDI:  A member of Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s media cell Adil Tanoli has been arrested by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing for allegedly posting anti-judiciary stuff on social media, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to details, a man named Anwar Adil Tanoli has been taken into custody from Rawalpindi for allegedly posting incendiary, anti-judiciary and anti-army stuff on Twitter. FIA has registered a case against him and has obtained three days physical remand.

Tanoli is said to be a member of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s media cell.

Tanoli is accused of posting “with malafide intention”, “defamatory, objectionable and disgraceful material” against the Honorable Judges of Supreme Court, Armed Forces of Pakistan and Govt of Pakistan.

Sources say that a number of government officials are pressing for his release but FIA has maintained that it cannot release Tanoli as it has registered a case against the social media activist.
