LAHORE: Former army chief General (Rtd) Raheel Sharif visited the grave of his brother Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed on Tuesday (today) and laid floral wreath, ARY News reported.
Major Shabbir Sharif was martyred at Sulemanki in 1971 war against India. He was honoured with Pakistan’s highest military award Nishan-e-Haider.
Former army chief visited Lahore’s Miani Sahib graveyard on the death anniversary of his martyred brother and paid respects to him.
Major Shabbir Sharif’s sister, and son Taimoor Sharif were also accompanied with General Raheel Sharif.
General Officer Commanding Major General Fida Hussain Malik also visited the grave and laid floral wreath on behalf of the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
A contingent of army troops offered guard of honour to the martyr on the occasion.
