LONDON: Former interior minister Rehman Malik met ex-president Asif Ali Zardari in London and discussed the Kashmir issue along with current political situation in the country, ARY News reported on Friday.
According to details, the ex-interior minister gave a detailed briefing on the current situation of the country to the former president of Pakistan.
The current political situation of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) also came under discussion in the meeting.
The two PPP leaders also discussed the
prevailing situation in Indian occupied Kashmir. Zardari said that that he strongly condemns the Line of Control (LoC) ceasefire violation by the Indian forces along with the atrocities on the innocent people of Kashmir.He lauded the timely response of Pakistani armed forces to the Indian skirmishes at the LoC.
The former president also lauded the security agencies for the measures taken for Muharram. He expressed his optimism that terrorism will be fully eradicated from the country.
