Afridi’s all-round show helps Pakistan trounce Bangladesh in World T20

Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi was the star performer of the match as he scored 49 runs from 19 balls and took two wickets for the team.

The green shirts won the toss and opted to bat first. They managed to score 201/5 in their 20 overs with Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hafeez scoring half centuries.

Hafeez was the top scorer with 64 from 42 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes while Shehzad scored 52 from 39 balls with eight fours to his name.

Afridi made a quick fire 49 runs from 19 balls with four boundaries and four sixes to his name.

Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny got two wickets each and Sabbir Rahman also got a wicket.

Bangladesh, chasing 202 runs to win, could only managed 146/6 on the board in their given 20 overs,

Shakib Al Hasan was the top scorer with 50 from 40 balls five fours and a six. Sabbir Rahman and Tamim Iqbal made 25 and 24 runs respectively for the team.

The Pakistani skipper and Mohammad Amir grabbed two wickets each while Imad Wasim and Mohammad Irfan also got a wicket.
