LEAs arrest three terror suspects in Quetta

QUETTA: Security forces and intelligence agencies arrested three members of a banned outfit in Quetta. The arrested suspects were said to be involved in attacks on Khalid Airbase and Samungli Airbase in Quetta, ARY News reported on Monday.

Security forces and secret agencies personnel conducted a raid at Western Bypass in the vicinity of Quetta and arrested three wanted terrorists, security sources said.

One of the arrested suspects have been involved in terrorist attacks on Khalid Airbase and Samungli Airbase in Quetta on August 14, 2014. The terror suspect belongs to Miranshah in North Waziristan tribal region.

Remaining two accused were wanted to police in scores of targeted killings and murder cases, sources said.

The law enforcement personnel have captured arms and explosive material from their possession.

Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has said, “We are fighting a war against terrorism.” He said Indian spy agency RAW hatching conspiracies against China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and was involved in terrorism in the province.

Quetta police chief has said that the law enforcement agencies taking effective steps to curb targeted killings in the city. He said sensational disclosures are expected from the arrested terror suspects.
