Lal Masjid case: Court orders to confiscate Musharraf’s properties

In a breakthrough in Lal Masjid case including murder of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, the session court has ordered to seize bonds of guarantors as well. Musharraf’s plea to provide presidential immunity from appearance before court has also been ruled out by the court.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (west) Pervaizul Qadir Memon has also ordered to confiscate surety bonds of guarantors, Nazeer Ahmed and Jan Muhammed.

A judge had in February the following year also issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the former military ruler.

Pervez Musharraf was being represented at the court by Malik Tahir advocate while Tariq Asad advocate was representing Lal Masjid.

The three-day standoff in July 2007 at the mosque in Islamabad claimed scores of lives including the students and security personnel.
