Lakhvi's house arrest extended

Islamabad High Court (IHC) Judge Justice Noor-ul-Haq Qureshi heard Lakhvi’s house arrest case today.

Lakhvi’s counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi, in the hearing, said that his client’s detention has been extended by the local administration.

Abbasi informed the court that the administration’s decision will be challenged in a new petition.

The

lawyer further said that the government extended the detention of the Mumbai attack suspect despite it was already challenged in the court of law. He added that the new detention order will be challenged before the next hearing.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till 26th January.
