Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad had granted bail to Lakhvi yesterday and ordered him to submit five lac rupees surety bonds in the court.
According to sources, the government has decided to appeal in superior court against approval of bail to Lakhvi.
Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi is among the seven persons charged with planning and extending help in carrying out November 26, 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
Indian government has expressed strong concern over the release of Lakhvi who had allegedly played central role in Mumbai attack which claimed 166 lives in India’s business hub.
