The special court, that is hearing the violation of constitution case against Musharraf, had issued orders of confiscating movable and immovable property of the former president and the army chief.
A notification has been sent to sessions judge Lahore by the Registrar of Special Court Mohammad Azam in which it is stated that Musharraf’s all property should be seized and a report should be sent to Islamabad regarding compliance of the court orders.
Sessions judge Lahore has issued a notice to the SHO Defence area and ordered him to submit details of Musharraf’s property in the area by July 27.
A special court on 19th July hearing treason charges against Musharraf had ordered authorities to freeze his bank accounts and confiscate his property.
A three-member bench of the special court had passed the orders after the former president failed to appear before the court despite repeated notices.
Pervez Musharraf’s counsel told the court during the hearing that his client was currently undergoing medical treatment abroad and could not travel back to appear before the court.
Former president, Musharraf had left Pakistan on March 18; following Supreme Court upheld the Sindh High Court (SHC) decision to remove his name from the exit control list (ECL).
