Lahore: 10 Mall Road blast accused killed in encounter

LAHORE: An alleged facilitator of Mall Road blast was gunned down along with his 10 accomplices after exchange of fire with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel here on Friday night, ARY News reported.

Anwar ul Haq, allegedly a key facilitator of Mall Road blast, was shot dead after exchange of fire between terrorists and the anti-terror squad resulting in death of overall 10 terrorists.

All the terrorists were reportedly affiliated with proscribed terrorist organization Jamiat ul Ahrar.

Four other slain men were identified as Abdullah, Imam Shah, Atta-ur-Rehman, and Irfan Khan, while identity of other deceased could not be ascertained.

The CTD officials claimed that explosive material and huge cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists.

Two dead bodies

Separately, two dead bodies were found in different areas of Karachi.

A body was found in an abandoned car in Pehlwan Goth. The deceased was identified as Abdul Qadir whose missing report was filed at Mubina Town police station on April 6.

Moreover a decapitated body was found dumped in a football ground at Delhi Colony. The law enforcement personnel have said that severe torture marks have  been found on the body of unidentified man.
