He acknowledged that the media has made profound contribution to highlight the human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

He said that the media and the civil society have raised their voice against the blatant human right in Occupied Kashmir despite the efforts of India to curtail media access to the restive region.

This has been effective in building pressure on India to stop the atrocities and move towards the resolutions of the dispute through peace means and dialogue.

The spokesman mentioned the letters sent to the UN Secretary General, OIC secretary general, and by the speaker National Assembly to his counterparts in different countries, and the briefing to the envoys of the P-5 countries and the European Union as parts of the efforts to highlight the issue.
