KARACHI: Unannounced power cuts in different areas of Karachi on Thursday irked masses ahead of the hot weather prediction in the city by the MET Office.
As per details, unscheduled load shedding in the metropolis has created water shortage in various parts of the city.
Areas including, North Nazimabad, Hasrat Mohani Society, Hussain De Silva Town, Pahar Ganj, Paposh and adjoining areas are facing power cuts.
It may be noted that, despite being assured of no load shedding on Eid, citizens faced brunt of power outages all three days of the Eid festival.
Different areas of the
city experienced load shedding. Those included North Karachi, New Karachi, Surjani Town, Buffer Zone, FB Area, Gulzar Hijri, Korangi Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, Gulshan Iqbal, PECHS Society, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Nazimabad, Liaqautabad, SITE Area, Baldia Town, Orangi Town, Sher Shah, Kemari, Lyari, Kharadar and several areas in old city.Read more: Karachiites facing load-shedding on second day of Eid
Karachiites were inconvenienced by lack of electricity amid hot weather and high humidity level.
The citizens lamented that there is no one to hold KE answerable for its promises. Load shedding was carried out as usual despite the on-going festivities.
