The city sizzled at 36 °C on Thursday, showing signs of revisiting heatwave that claimed over 1000 lives in the metropolis last year.

The highest maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded in Dadu at 46°C, followed by Jacobabad 45°C, Shaheed Benazirabad, Moenjodaro, Padidan, Sukkur, Larkana & Rahim Yar Khan 44°C.
According to met office, Mainly hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country in next 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Zhob divisions and FATA.
Gusty winds are expected in South Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan during the period.
