Karachi: Police arrest 24 in crackdown against foreign nationals

KARACHI: Police in a crackdown in the city arrested 24 foreign nationals for violation of the concerned law, ARY News reported on Monday.

Police arrested 12 foreign citizens from Ittehad Town for illegally residing in the locality.

Four Afghan nationals were arrested in Korangi and a house owner was arrested for renting the premises in violation of the law.

Police arrested six Afghan nationals in Old Sabzi Mandi area for illegally residing in the locality.

Two Afghan nationals were arrested in the jurisdiction of Shara-e-Faisal police station for violation of the foreigners act.

Moreover, police arrested two robbers at Pakistan Bazaar of Orangi Town after exchange of fire.

Illegal arms and motorbike was also recovered from the robbers.

A man allegedly involved in street crimes was arrested from Piracha bridge in the industrial area.
