“I am amazed at chairman Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA)’s statement about Kala Bagh Dam. I may assure you that floods cannot be barricaded even with construction of this dam. Three provinces have passed resolutions against the dam,” he said while addressing a press conference at Sindh House in Islamabad.
He said National Accountability Bureau’s law of plea bargaining was wrong. Corrupt elements should not be given exemption after paying money. Sindh was forming its own organization of accountability and law.
Murad Shah said he had apprised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about the issues in Sindh and he had assured full cooperation.
“Corruption will not be tolerated in Sindh. Even if my brother committed corruption, I will send him to jail as well,” he said.
He said action would be taken against criminals of all the parties whether Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League or Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
The CM said Rangers would be able to carry out operations in interior Sindh under police and local administration.
