Jinnah House attack: ATC delays Yasmin Rashid’s physical remand

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday delayed the physical remand of PTI leader Yasmeen Rashid in the Jinnah House attack and rioting case, ARY News reported.

As per details, anti-terrorism court Judge Abher Gul Khan heard the pleas seeking physical remand of PTI leader Yasmin Rashid in the Jinnah House attack case.

The court allowed Dr Yasmin Rashid to stay in the hospital and ordered the Medical Superintendent (MS) of Services Hospital to present the medical report on May 22. 

It was further stated that until the fitness report of the accused is present, the court cannot approve her physical remand

The medical report presented by MS Services Hospital Dr Ihtisham to the court stated that the Blood Pressure of Dr Yasmin Rashid is not under control and it can be life-threatening if it stays like this.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket holder Ibad Farooq revealed that PTI senior leaders and former Punjab minister Dr Yasmin Rashid and Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed are ‘responsible’ for the Jinnah House attack on May 9.

Yasmin, who was still waiting for her release from Kot Lakhpat Jail experienced a rapid deterioration in her health. The PTI leader was rushed to the Services Hospital in Lahore where she is being treated.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI Central Punjab President Yasmin Rashid was taken into custody under section three of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

Several PTI leaders including, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Jamsheed Iqbal Cheema, Musarrat Cheema, Falak Naz Chitrali and Malika Bukhari, Shireen Mazari, Qasim Suri, Ali Muhammad Khan and others had been arrested for ‘provoking’ people for violent protests following the arrest of party chairman Imran Khan.
