Jemima discards ‘Khan’ as surname after Imran’s marriage

Jemima had ‘Khan’ written as her surname in the Twitter account which has now been removed.

But Khan’s ex-wife still has her username ‘Jemima Khan’ which could only be changed once she files an application with Twitter, seeking change in the user identification title.

Imran wedded Reham in a simple ceremony at his Islamabad home Thursday, ending years of speculation surrounding the former cricketer.

Imran Khan, who is 62 and the father of two sons from his previous marriage to British socialite Jemima Khan (nee Goldsmith), tied the knot with Reham.

“There are no wedding or valima receptions. Tomorrow food will be distributed amongst poor children,” Khan’s party spokeswoman Shireen Mazari said, referring to additional marriage events typical of traditional, elaborate Pakistani weddings.

Reham, 41, was previously a BBC weather host and according to media reports she is also a divorced mother of three.

It may be noted here that Jemima in her tweet couple of days ago had said she was hopeful that Imran would be happy in his new phase of life.
