ISLAMABAD: Notable politician Javed Hashmi on Monday leveled a wide spectrum of allegations on Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and accused him of architecting to sabotage democracy, ARY News reported.
During a press conference in Islamabad, he said he would stick to every single word of his statement and if the Supreme Court wished to summon him, it should feel free to do so. He said those were the reasons which forced him to dissociate with the party.
“I before the nation and media solemnly promise that Imran, in presence of Arif Alvi and Shireen Mazari, said to me that justice Tasadduq Jilani is going to retire and a new chief justice will take over then we would resign as parliamentarians to dissolve the assembly. Consequently, Nawaz Sharif will automatically relinquish his office,” he said.

Javed Hashmi said he replied to Imran that was above the Constitution to do so and will eventually lead to martial law. Hence, you should try to understand the political situation of the country and the Constitution, he said.
He said he suggested Imran to refrain from resigning from the parliament and carry on with their struggle which will end up making his government.
“I warned Imran that any extreme step could plunge the country into crisis and he would be to be blamed for the instability,” he said.
The veteran politician said he again warned the PTI chief that he would be made subject to house arrest in case of military coup, however he would not listen to him, he said.
He was adamant to attack the parliament despite other PTI leaders differences on this, Javed said.
