During a meeting, both the leaders expressed their commitment to promote their political, economic, defence, and cultural relations as well as close cooperation for unity and solidarity among Islamic countries.
Shamkhani felicitated Janjua on assuming the office and expressed the desire to work closely with him in order to achieve common security objectives.
The two sides also exchanged views on evolving regional security situation.
Janjua briefed Shamkhani on Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and stability in Afghanistan.
