The train running from Rawalpindi to Quetta was in Bakhtiarabad area when the bomb detonated. The blast partially damaged the train and three bogies were derailed leaving a man dead and three injured. The victims of the attack were transferred to hospitals in Quetta.
Rescue and security teams reached the site of the attack and train services were suspended after the attack.
The Levies personnel launched a search operation in the area after the attack on Jaffar Express.
