ISLAMABAD: Condemning the killings of 14 innocent people in held-Kashmir, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday urged the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of ongoing killing spree of Kashmiris by Indian troops in occupied valley.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi stressed upon the United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play their role to stop the Indian atrocities in held-Kashmir.
Criticizing the state sponsored violence in Kashmir, he said that barbarism of Indian forces in the occupied valley is touching the new heights and stressed upon the world bodies to intervene immediately to stop the bloodshed of civilians in the valley.
The minister said
that Pakistan had requested OIC Secretary General to convene a meeting of ministerial level contact group of the Islamic countries to take notice of the human rights violations in the Occupied Kashmir.He said Pakistan will continue its moral, political, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir in their just cause for right to self-determination and added that all political parties of Pakistan are on the same page on Kashmir issue.
The minister said about five hundred innocent Kashmiris were killed during the current year alone and added that they are also planning to organize an international conference on Kashmir on 5th February next year in London to highlight Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir.
