Intent behind Reham’s book ahead of elections is to malign PTI: Hamza

KARACHI: Renowned actor Hamza Ali Abbasi on Monday alleged that the purpose behind publication of a book by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief’s former wife Reham Khan on the verge of elections was to tarnish the reputation of the PTI.

Talking to ARY News program Off The Record, he said the PML-N, the rival party of the PTI, had made nexus with Reham to besmirch the PTI.

He said their plan was to publish the book two weeks ahead of the elections to spark the controversy to spearhead campaign on TV channels against the PTI.

“Common men do not read books in Pakistan, but they do watch TV shows and their design is to kick up anti-PTI campaign ahead of the elections to cloud the real issues of the country and failures of the PML-N,” he said.

Calling his revelations preemptive strikes, Hamza said making personal attacks on Imran in the book, Reham badmouthed about the PTI chief’s son and sisters.

He said through his leaking the manuscript of the book far ahead of its publication, its value will be lost.

It is pertinent to mention here that  on June 3, Reham Khan had a verbal fight with PTI loyalist  and actor Hamza Ali Abbasi who claimed to have read the manuscript of her upcoming biography.
