ISLAMABAD: India has responded to Pakistan’s humanitarian offer to arrange a meeting between Kulbhushan Jadhav and his spouse, Foreign Office spokesperson said in a statement on Saturday.
The FO spokesman maintained that the Indian response is being considered.
According to reports in Indian media, India has accepted Pakistan’s offer to arrange a meeting between Kulbhushan Jadhav and his wife but requested that his mother too should be included in the meeting.
On November 10, Pakistan offered India a meeting between Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav and his wife on “humanitarian grounds”.
“The Government of Pakistan has decided to arrange a meeting of Commander Kulbhudhan Jhadev with his wife, in Pakistan, purely on humanitarian grounds. A Note Verbale to this effect has been sent to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today,” said a statement released by foreign office on November 10.
