India was promoting terrorism on western border as well and Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadev was the biggest evidence to prove this fact Newly-elected Minister for Foreign Affairs said Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday, ARY News reported.
“Pakistan wants to build good neighbourly relations with India, but India does not fully abide by the treaties signed between the countries,” he said while talking to media in Sialkot.
The foreign minister said India’s non-compliance with the Indus Waters Treaty was creating hurdles for the last 57 years since the treaty was signed.
“India and other countries specially the United States are affecting the treaty,” he said.
He said the issue of Kishanganga dam was resolved one and a half year ago. However, he said, later India filled the dam which led to Pakistan protest before the World Bank against India offence.
Khawaja Asif also expressed regret over the cold Indian response to Pakistan’s peace overtures. He said India is continuously violating ceasefire across the Line of Control.
He said India is also sponsoring terrorism at the Durand Line to create disturbance in Pakistan.
The minister said Pakistan army has played a significant role in eliminating terrorism from the motherland.
He said Pakistan is keen to establish friendly relations with Afghanistan but it is possible only with reciprocal efforts from the Afghan side.
