Director General Rangers Major General Tahir Javed in a statement said that there was no substantial justification of the Indian belligerence at the Working Boundary. He denied any infiltration from the Working Boundary.
Giving details of the unprovoked Indian firing in the area, the Rangers top official said that the Indian troops have fired over one lac rounds and 15,000 mortar shells in October, which claimed 11 civilian lives, while three Rangers personnel were injured.
According to the official, six personnel of BSF were injured and eight Indian civilians were killed in the firing.
