“The scheme will benefit 1.8 million families in the entire province,” Imran Khan said while addressing a news conference along Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in Peshawar.
He said under the health insurance scheme, Rs210,000 would be given to each family. He said despite financial constraints, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government increased health budget from eight billion rupees to Rs25 billion, which shows its sincerity, Radio Pakistan reported.
The PTI chief said the government introduced exemplary reforms in the health sector. However, some people were putting obstacles in implementation of these reforms.
Speaking on this occasion, the Pervez Khattak said the government would utilize all available resources for uplift of health sector.
He said the government introduced reforms with consultation of doctors and paramedical staff.
