ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan from the court premises was not right, ARY News reported.

Addressing the National Assembly meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PTI chairman Imran Khan should be competed in the Elections, not in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

He lambasted the PTI chief Imran Khan and said that when he was in power applauded the NAB for arresting the opposition and their women in fake cases. He said that the then NAB chairman was also blackmailed by keeping a woman in custody in Prime Minister House and arrested PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur.

The PPP chairman maintained that the then Interior Minister refused to register FIRs against women and told Imran Khan that PTI may also be in apposition and the government will make cases against the women.

He claimed that PTI is no more a political party, it has now turned into a terrorist group. They have attacked military instalments and other important public buildings. He said now the parliament should also treat them like a terrorist group.

It is pertinent to mention that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case on Tuesday.

The PTI chief was taken into custody by Rangers personnel, who were acting on the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) warrant, from the premises of Islamabad High Court where the former premier had gone to seek bail in multiple cases registered against him.
