Imran Khan decides reviewing PTI tickets for Punjab elections

LAHORE: Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has announced to review the issuance of party tickets to the candidates ahead of the Punjab elections, ARY News reported on Friday.

While addressing PTI workers and supporters at Zaman Park, Imran Khan slammed the rulers for creating hurdles in the PTI power show at Minar-e-Pakistan. He said that Minar-e-Pakistan was sealed and barriers were installed in the city to stop people from attending the PTI power show.

He said that the nationals attended the PTI power show in a large numbers despite the hurdles. Khan said that Pakistanis are becoming a nation now. He announced to review the PTI tickets to the candidates for the Punjab polls.

The PTI chief announced that he will review the issuance of party tickets to the candidates from April 22 to 26. He added that he will mull over the names forwarded by the reconciliation committees for the candidates.

Yesterday, Khan said that PML-N Quaid is the ‘captain of the cowards’.

While slamming the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid, Imran Khan called Nawaz Sharif the captain of the cowards. Addressing the PTI workers at Zaman Park, Khan said that all of the Sharif family members are cowards and Maulana Fazlur Rehman was also part of his team.

He said that PTI is ready to play the match but the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties took away the wickets as they are afraid of playing a match.

The former premier said that Ali Amin Gandapur is firmly standing against the rulers. He criticised that the ‘shameless rulers’ are using such tactics and police is transporting Ali Amin Gandapur to different localities.

“For two reasons, I cannot organise interviews of the candidates due to hearings at the courts which waste a lot of time while PDM is running away from the elections.”
