Imran appeals federal government to issue Rs.6bn to facilitate IDPs

BANNU: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday demands federal government to give Rs. 6 billion to Khyber PakhtunKhwa government in order to look after the displace Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan, ARY News reported.

Imran Khan put his demand while addressing a press conference in Bannu before leaving for Islamabad on Sunday evening. He said the migrants include around 1 lac children and 10,000 women.

Chairman PTI said federal government announced to give Rs.7000 per month to each family, which is insufficient.

He appealed Sindh and Punjab government to allow IDPs enter in their provinces.

“I request Sindh and Punjab government not to stop IDPs from entering their provinces, as stopping them is an inhuman act”, he added.

Condemning the arrest of Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) workers and closing roads of twin cities (Islamabad- Rawalpindi), Imran Khan said PATs’ workers should be allowed to receive their leader at airport.

He said Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif should be reminded that once they were restricted to come outside from airport by Gen. Rtd. Pervaiz Musharraf but now they are trying to become dictator.

Imran Khan reiterated his demand of resignation from Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif over Lahore incident.
