ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday dismissed the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) petition against the construction of Bhara Kahu Bypass on University land, ARY News reported.

A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb announced the verdict on the plea filed by five faculty members of QAU.
Moreover, the court also disposed of the stay order on the construction of Bhara Kahu bypass project passing through the land of the QAU Islamabad.

Earlier, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif performed the groundbreaking of Bhara Kahu bypass in Islamabad. The 5.4-kilometer-long bypass including 1350 meters long overhead bridge will be completed in three months.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Shehbaz Sharif directed National Logistics Cell (NLC) to complete the project within three months instead of its earlier tentative time of four months. He directed that the quality of the project should be ensured.
