Heatwave engulfs Sindh, mercury hits 52 Celsius in Dadu, Mohenjodaro

The temperatures in Sindh’s ancient city of Mohenjodaro and Dadu on the right bank of the Indus have hit as high as 52 degree Celsius.

The mercury soared to 50 degree Celsius in Larkana, Sukkur and adjoining areas.

The met department has reported sizzling weather in the plains of Sindh and Balochistan.

The temperatures in Karachi will remain below 40 degree Celsius in the next few days, the weather report said.

The weather will also remain hot and dry in most parts of Pakistan during next 24 hours.

Kashmir and adjoining areas likely to receive light rainfall, the weather department report said.
